Corky Bell's Seafood Macon, Ga

All of us from Corky Bell's would like to say We miss each other and our customers deeply. We all appreciate all your support over the years and pray that you will ALL contact the owners in Florida and encourage them to relocate & reopen the business. We were devastated on Nov.8 2007 when the owner arrived at 6:00pm and without any warning closes about 45Min's. early and at that time informs us that we no longer have a job. Tears were shed, singles , single parents, and ones with families worry how am I gonna support my family, phone calls steadily being made from one another to notify those of us who were not on that shift, and on Friday we all returned to get answers and understanding. At that time Tina our head waitress {employed since it opened 20+ years ago} pulls up in uniform as scheduled for that day. Over the years this wasn't just a business it had become a family. Our customers were too. 90% of the staff & management have been there well over 5 to 20 years and in the Restaurant field it is hard to find situations of this, most have come and go, so to me that speaks for itself and what we have become. Mr.Jerry has managed Corky Bell's for 18+years retiring 4 months ago and to all who knows him please begin praying, he came to be with all his family on Friday, and to comfort us and was later admitted in the Coliseum hospital now in ICU, unconscious and his family and family of Corky Bell's are praying and waiting for him to get better. It is day to day not knowing and will be a long recovery time for him as he pulls through. We all felt like a death had occurred in our family because we were shut down but now we pray God won't take papa and with that we will all be OK. Again to all thanks for the support over the years and we all hope to serve you again in another location and have our family back together again. We look forward to your response and our results after the owner receives contact from all that was also disappointed and wants to see Corky Bell's reopened. Thanks again!
